Default Replacing 2002 Chevy Silverado Ignition Switch?

Has anyone ever replaced an ignition switch on a 2002 Chevy Silverado? If so, does this require changing my keys as well?

No key replacement. The ignition switch is more like an ignition
harness just be sure it is properly installed take note
Of how the old harness comes off the plug it has to be lined up the
same way.......
