Default e85 tune trickery

i have a 05 colorado with a i5 and i put a m90 roots blower on it. i would like to run e85 but in texas its not exactly readly avalible so i want to "trick" it with possibly putting a known resistor value in place of either the iat or coolant temp sensor to add roughly 30 percent fuel and some timing when the computer sees that its sub zero outside. so i have a e85 switch so to speak, pump gas=normal temp, e-85 = resistor temp

Sound doable?

Terrible idea. Just get your truck tuned how you want it the proper way.

There is and e85 table in your PCM's OS. All the tuner should have to do is make sure you are properly tuned for the 93 and the e85. Once the PCM detects the e85 it will use that table.

I don't think it is as simple as that. First he needs to find out if his year model uses a fuel composition sensor... The newer style trucks, on fullsize i believe it is 2006+ uses an algorithm to determine the alcohol content....

Just bumped it up to the top for some updates. That sounds really cool, I like the idea of having an economy tune, that would help the pocket book.
