Default knock retard with e85?

Tuner says its probably just false knock. Its a 5.3 with 10.5:1 compression, 13.5lbs of boost and 16 degrees of timing, e85. I believe the target AFR is 11.9 on the gas scale. Would it be wise to desensitize my knock sensors while on the E?

How much knock?

Does it go away with less timing?

Most I saw was 3.5 degrees in 4th gear around 5400rpm.

I would fatten it up a bit personally. E85 can still knock, it's not magic, just more forgiving than gas.

Much too lean.

Get it down around 11:1 on gas scale.

E85 is fairly magical stuff. Cheap racegas.

So I went out and did some data logging tonight. I found the points where it was knocking and pulled some timing and it was still showing knock retard in that area. I ended up pulling a total of 4 degrees and I still saw about 2 degrees of KR still. Its not consistent and it also doesn't pull the same amount of KR every time, so I am going to assume its false knock. The only somewhat consistent thing is when it happens, around 5300rpm. A issue I did notice though it that my AFR's seemed to be all over the place and not consistent at all. I seen it as low as 11.0 up to almost 13.0 at some points on the log.

Splash in some high octane race gas, if it stops, its real, and you better fix it, or it will get you.
