Whats the difference?
My question is fairly newbish but here goes. I am pondering picking up tuning software but I see there is 2 brands . You have HP tuners and EFI Live.
What's the difference? I mean is there stuff HP can do that EFI can't, is there a price difference?
Also what do I need to do it myself ie: what do I need to purchase? Can I take a vehicle I tuned myself to a professional if I am having problems getting it right? Obviously that tuner would have to have that brand of software.
Thanks guys

Either one will work. I use EFI Live. Its fairly simple once you get the hang of it. I can do a COS swap without having to by another license. And if I do a 4l80E swap I can do the segment swap myself vs having to sent the tune to HPT for the swap. both EFI Live and HPT have forums to help you out if you get stuck.

OK well I wanted to do this since I bought the truck but kinda scares of the unknown.
How does it cost and what would I need to purchase, a license and software?
