E fans

are electric fans worth the buck? i have an 03 4.8 silverado and recently swapped cam, heads, headers, tq converter, cai. and injectors in the process.

Yes it is as he says, as well as you need to get a tune for the mods you have...A tune is needed after the e-fan swap to activate them as well...

the tune is in process, would efans from a newer silverado work or should i just buy something specific for mine

I just put them on my 04. It has the 4.8L. I had to get the bigger radiator for the 05-07 Classic fans to fit. I got a new Global radiator for $105, new Efans from Keystone for $125, a SLP 160 t-stat from Amazon for $22 and I got the wire harness free from someone parting out a wrecked 05. I did the PCM myself. I did the Airaid tube for a 05 from the stock airbox to the TB at the same time.
