Swapped out relays and still the same. Do ya'll know where I can get a wiring diagram that shows the Inside of the cab wiring to the Climate control unit? I can only find them for the older 99 and below models. I need one for a 2000 silverado

Well'p Finally got it working. Turns out the Nelson Electric fan harness was causing the problem w/ the A/C fan activation led. Maybe this could save you ALOT of time and $.

I diagnosed the Low pressure switch and high pressure switch, tested the circuit to make sure it was complete, traced the wires to the PCM and made sure there was a solid ground to them.
Replaced Orfice tube, flushed and refilled entire A/C system.
Replaced climate control unit, made sure that the A/C button didn't have a short to pin #86 on the fuse box relay.
Checked for ground on pin #87
Checked for solid 12V connection on pin #30
And a few other miscellaneous things.
Turned out to be something so simple, but hey now I know how a complete A/C system is wired and how it works.

Exactly how was the Nelson Electric fan harness causing the problem w/ the A/C fan activation LED, in a way that allowed you to still be able command the clutch to engage in HPT?

I'm curious as well. I'd have thought if that were the problem the clutch would have been cut off from the relay rendering the clutch inoperative all the time.

Same question I ask my self. As soon as I removed that wire Bam! clutch locks in, connect it back and it stops.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I just had this exact problem. What did you end up doing to fix the problem?

So you necro'd a thread and didn't even read it? I mean, the answer is right above your post...

I actually read the entire thread before I posted. All I see from the pic is the green wire from the harness and a stripped green/white stripe wire, neither hooked up. I actually got it figured out already. On my application, the green/white wire is not the correct wire to splice into. Unless I'm interpreting the picture and comments incorrectly.
