Trailer Brake Controls?
Hey guys,
Just wondering what some of you are using for trailer brake controls? I have a new 2011 Sierra, and it did not come with the factory brake control option, and I need to add one to my truck for toting around my Camaro.
What brands/models, are yall using, and do you have any pro's/con's on operation, and installation.
I just hope that there are wires under the dash to tap into for this!
Thanks in advance for any feed back, and info!

They've had the wires in place since at least 2002. You'll just need the adapter harness that goes to the J-box from the controller.
I don't know what the new fangled controllers are like these days. I use an old Tekonsha Voyager that has met my needs for years. The new digital controllers have all sorts of stuff to make your tow easier and can compensate for weight changes better than old **** and feel controllers.
I definitely recommend that whatever you get has an a manual control slider on it, it comes in handy when something goes south and you get pushed by your trailer going downhill.
