4L60E Trans tune via HPT
Hi guys,
I have a '04 Avalanche 5.3/60e 4x4 truck. The truck is completely stock, but I want to delete some of the TM and do a light trans tune. Been searching and found some stuff on the TM removal (being it's bone stock, I'm not sure how much to remove), but nothing on trans specifics.
Any help/guidance would be much appreciated!
-Mike

I don't think I removed more than 10-15% if that, just because it's a 4L60e.
I'd 100% recommend a corvette servo from oregon performance though as an add on to this trans tune. The best 20 bucks ever spent on the 4L60.
As for anything else, I raised the shift pressure in "normal" 5-10% to give it better feel. I have a vette servo so I didnt need to add much because the servo does so much already.
And with shift times I lowered them from .500-.600 range to around .300-.350 to get nice clean/chrisp shifts.

Another good addition would be a Sonnax 4L60E-LB1 boost valve
Easy to install, drop trans pan and just need snap ring pliers
It will increase line pressure across the board so might want to back pressure in the tune down to stock level
Here is a link Line Pressure Booster Kit - 4L60E-LB1 - Sonnax
