Default 2014 torque management question

on the 2014 automatic: Is there a ecm torque management AND a tcm torque management?

Is it OK to turn off or reduce the TQM on the tcm? I was told not to do it on these 6l80's because the gears will "walk on each other" during shifts.

True?

I understand that and don't plan to get into really trying to tune it. But since the tune has been done, isn't there an easy step to just reduce a % amount of the TQM from the tcm?
