I haven't driven it since I hooked the battery back up but I've been in and out of it cleaning up the interior and it still seems to be ok. The door chime hasn't been going off without the key in it like before. I don't know, maybe the battery being disconnected reset something.

Luck (the good kind) usually doesn't come my way but fingers crossed. Thanks to you and everyone else for the responses.

Bringing this back...My locks started going crazy again 2 weeks ago when I was working on some friends cars in my driveway. I could hear it locking and unlocking and the dome light was cutting on and off. Anyway, I replaced the bcm since it seemed to be the likely culprit. Got it in and did the relearn procedure (try to start and sit with key on for 10 minutes and then do it again 3 more times). The truck started but now my security light stays on. Do I now need to take it to the dealer? I thought that was the reason for the relearn was so you wouldn't have to take it in. I've driven it for over an hour and started it up several times and everything seems fine. Also, I don't think this is related but happened shortly after, my air bag light stays on now. It blinks 7 times or so when you cut the key on but goes solid once started. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. It's due for an inspection first of the year and I think these lights, at least the airbag, will cause it to fail.

I'll probably get mine checked when I see about getting an auto parts store to scan the abs code. I don't have another battery to swap out with it.

If you replaced the bcm without having it reflash you probably have a vin mismatch sutuation goin on and need to take it to dealer or someone who can reflash the bcm with proper vin..... Will in theory cause codes in every module the bcm communicates with taht checks vin...

That's what I thought the relearn process for the bcm was for... I'm sure the dealer will probably want $500 to do 30 minutes worth of work to reflash it.

I wish it was 50-75 but I called and it's 125.
