Why did you choose a truck for performance?
Kind of bored so I wanted to start a thread for the he** of it. Just curious to see why everyone chose a truck for performance? More specifically street performance, as I know a lot of us get a rig for off-road, and you likely wouldn't take a vette in the mud. Anyways, I chose a truck because for one it was cheaper to obtain than sports car and is cheaper on insurance. Also, everyone seems to have vettes, camaros, mustangs, challengers, etc. And I think when done right, a truck looks awesome when they are modded. So what's your reason(s)?

Good question.
For me, my 99 Silverado ECSB 4x4 was my first truck and once I found these forums online i started modding the **** out it.
Then i I fell in love with all the lowered RCSB's on here and LS1Truck, so I went and built one of them too. Lol
I like how most people in my area don't expect a gas truck to be fast. And at the end of the day it's still a truck and can be used as such.

Launching!
Was my first vehicle. Love the look of a sporty rcsb or any silverado/sierra really and most don't expect it to be fast. Another plus is that they are wayyy easier to work on with the extra space in the engine bay

Pretty much all the reasons above, but my favorite is watching the face of a mustang/camaro or any sport car as u drag his *** and he doesn't know what just happened lol thats priceless.

First newer vehicle, to haul stuff (wood, camping stuff, 4-wheeler, etc. ) than priceless moments when you can put a couple car lengths on cars from a light. And really anybody can make a car fast(er) a truck takes a little more thought of being used as a truck still.

BINGO
Whats better than beating up everybody with a Big Ole Truck
I always say I'm not a truck guy but since I've had 14 I guess I am, LOL
I never had one as a family car, (more of a SUV guy there) but when it comes to a Hot Rod / Performance Vehicle, it's all about Pickups for me;
(5) Supercharged Lightnings, a Supercharged Roush Stage III Nitemare, (4) ProStreet Rangers, a Fully Built Turbo GMC Syclone, a Supercharged Built 502 ProStreet Sierra, 67 El Camino w/ ZZ572, and now a LS/SS S10 with a Gen II LT1 in it.
There's just something about kicking someones *** in a Truck that is very fulfilling, hehehehe.....
