I am trying to settle on a final AFP logo design. The basic design is pretty set, but am working on a more catchy, colorful version.

i like the black and white but maybe add a fine black pinstripe around the outside and the inside

Logo's need to be simple not agressive, but pop. Number 5 is the best. Possibly alter text color to stand out abit more, maybe font type and color.

I like your line of thought, maybe more vintage effect/fade out the flag a little and change the text color.
