Default help with an interrior question

I heard from a good source that the back seat from a crewcab 1500 will not fit into the 2500HD. another good source told me that the 1500 seats and the 2500HD seats are interchangeable as long as they come from a 99-07classic.

can anyone give a solid answer? I need a back seat to my crewcab 2500HD, and the search would be a lot easier if the 1500 series 70/30 seat would bolt into my 2500HD.

I know the floor is different, when looking for speaker boxes one will not fit the other. I would think the seats would interchange, that's just my assumption as to how much GM likes to make stuff interchangeable lol

On the crew cab, it's a 2 piece deal. They refer to it as a 60/40 and sometimes a 70/30 split bench seat.

he must have been sold seats for an incorrect year model. he actually purchased seats from a 1500 crew cab and they didn't mount in his 2500HD.

if 1500 crew cab seats will bolt in correctly, it should make my search for a back seat 10x easier

After talking with a friend, There may be a slight difference in the floor of 1500 crew cab with the baby 5.8 bed Vs. the 2500 with a normal 6.6 bed.

My understanding is the rear of the floor kicks up in the back of the cab to clear the frame rails for the baby bed.

This maybe why the rear seat is different between the two models.
