Black X
This Is Betty, AKA Black Betty A 2002 Chevrolet S-10 Xtreme.
I ordered the truck in December of 2001 Optioned as a 2.2L 5-Speed.
Hoping some day it would have V8 Power.
Some Exterior enhancements took place right away.
Goodmark Steel 2.5” cowl hood, Centerline Galaxy wheels and Head and taillight blackouts.
A soft extanng tonneau cover topped off the bed.
My First track outing came soon and I blistered the quarter mile at a 19.00@71mph.
Disappointed with the results I began modifying the 2.2L Basic bolt ons were preceded by a NX nitrous lit and then Finally the last large effort with the 2.2L was to get a Supercharger.
I worked closely with Al Martin of Wynjammer Superchargers in Arizona to develop a supercharger kit for the 2.2L S-10.
The result was pretty impressive. Stock the truck dyno'd 84RWHP on a mustang dyno and before the 2.2L was removed it was making 174RWHP and 202TQ on 8psi and a 35 shot.
Here is a photo of the 2.2L combination.
In the Fall of 2005 I decided The 2.2L was set to be replaced with a 5.3L and the V8 swap began.
I pulled the truck into the Garage for the last time under 2.2L power NOV 1,2005.
In april of 2006 the Cam only 5.3L 4L60E combo left the garage on its maiden voyage.
After a summer of tweaking at the track the truck had run 12.90 on motor and 11.27@123 on a 200 shot.
I then built a heads cam 6.0L with nitrous for the 2007 season.
It went to a best of 11.68@117 and 10.66@128 on a 200 shot.
That brings us to the current combination.

EVERYONE LIKES BURNOUTS.
Huge thanks to the people that nominated me, all my family for their continued support. Finishline Transmissions and Yank Converters for a solid transmission combination.
More boost for 2009!
