First off thanks to those who nominated me!! It's great to be recognized by fellow enthusiast/peers for a build project.
PAST:
So here's me picking up the truck (a.k.a. Kermit) the day I bought her about 13 months ago more or less...
I wasn't actually looking for a truck/project but my buddy was selling it, and I knew the truck well and was aware of all the work that had already been done to it by him and it became really hard not to buy it from him...so I politely accepted. Engine wise she came with a stock 4.8L with a collapsed piston (my fault actually ). But that was fine since I was planning on giving it a new heart transplant anyways...
So as soon as I made some room in my garage, I started taking her apart apart...
First thing I put on were some bigger brakes
16" rotors 6 piston fronts...
14" rotors 4 piston rears...
The I proceeded to drop in a re-cammed Forged 370 w/ a FLT lvl-5 4l80e from a prior build...
Added a new intake and some misc odds and ends...
And put her on the street for the first time in a while...

Then I decided to get reckless and cut two holes in the sides of the bed ...
Got a custom crossmember fabbed up so that I could run my x-pipe under the tranny tailshaft...
And proceeded to get medieval on the exhaust!
And this is how she sat for 6 months...
PRESENT:
A few months ago I got rear-ended on the freeway which required a bit of bodywork to fix, and since I had originally planned on getting the truck repainted, I figured this is as good a time as any. I did some research and looked at a bunch of cars and decided on this unusual Satin Silver and Flat Black theme. I was nervous about it for quite a while but in the end I really liked how it came out. The handles have been painted to match and the amber marker lights are gone now, other than that this is basically how she sits.
Overall I think it turned out well, depending on the time of day and the amount of sun out the paint job takes on a different hue, it's really kinda weird. It does take alot of work to keep clean though.
FUTURE:
Appearance wise I think I'm gonna drop the truck one more inch, and tint the front headlights. Engine wise I plan on pulling this motor out in a few weeks/month and rebuilding it into a slightly larger cubed higher compression motor, I also bought some really really really nice hot parts from a member on here CurtD , they are sitting on my shelf waiting for some attention. A new fuel tank and some odd's and ends, should hopefully get this truck into the 9's...at least I hope so!
