Default January 2010 Truck of the Month: Midnightrider

Midnightrider
Thanks for the opportunity again to be truck of the month. Alot has changed since January of last year. The truck was getting boring to me so i tore off the Radix and sarted over with YellowSierra's old 62mm twin turbo setup. This is where all the fun began. I had many fitting issues due to my truck being a 04 and Justins a 00. I had to completely do away with the A2W intercooler setup and replumb the A2A intercooler. During the build i did alot of research on turbos and fuel systems. I came to the conclusion the stock fuel setup was not going to cut it. So i completely gutted it and built a Aeromotive Surge setup using the A1000 fuel pump, -8 feed and -6 return. This worked great and insured i would not run out of fuel. I finally got her running and a basic tune in and started having fun. I then ordered the Edelbrock Pro Flow XT from WCCH and dressed the up the engine a little bit. One night while having to much fun I believe i lifted a head. I took the motor apart to check it out and my wife says why dont you just build a motor and quit messing around. I said ok dont twist my arm. I began shopping for and Pricing a 370 When i ran into Mark Koehler's for sale thread on his LSX 447 that was in his Mid 7s drag racer. Yeah so i couldnt resist. That is the current Project. The 62mm are sold and TC 78s will support the 447 along with a DBRODS 4-link, Fab 9, and a fuel cell to do away with the surge setup. The feed line are going to change to -10 and -8 return. I also will be using a HPM (Danny Hereid) 4l80e fully built to meet the needs of this motor. Ill be using Trick Flow 245 heads, HS rockers, KUP cam, morel tie bar lifters and thats just to get is started. To stop all this i Bought Daves old 6S baer brake and alumnisport rear brakes. Dave has helped me alot as far as seeing my goals for the truck. My best friend Danny has seen to it that I will reach them. He has more than helped put this together. Along with steve and long hours of frustration and im sure more to come.
My goal is to be a 4 digit pump gas street truck. As far as track times im shooting for 10s full street trim. Thanks for all the support from members of this site. Stay tuned for things to come. Below are pics of the progress.

Cool, thanks. Looked a bit lower than 2/4 from that pic. I like it.
