2000 Silverado, single cab - sportside.
Bought new in summer of 2000, now with 95,000 miles on the speed-o. This was my daily driver for 5 years then I gave the truck to my son. We did the suspension and tranny first then added a 224 cam and Zo6 heads & headers. The truck had the iron block 5.3 and ran a solid 12.8 @105 mph. Then we added a 75 shot for a 12.0 @ 110 mph. Then in 2008 he started college so I took the truck back and changed the motor. All mods are listed below. This should be a 10 second daily driver this year on Hoosier slicks.
Texas Speed LS2, 402 Stroker shortblock
ARP rod bolts
232/600 @113 lsa cam from VMax Motorsports (Pete Incaudo)
AFR 225 heads ported\polished from Pete Incaudo
90mm Fast ported\polished from Pete Incaudo
Comptech TB ported\polished from Pete Incaudo
Comtech fuel rails
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
LS2 Timing chain
LS7 lifters
Comp pushrods
Stock rockers
464 rwhp, 447 rwtq, NA
Built 4L60E
Yank 3600 stall
True Trac 410 differential
Rear sway bar
QA-1 rear shocks
Bilstein front shocks
McGaughty’s 9903-S2x3 front springs
Pacesetter 5/8” long tubes
Magnaflow mufflers and cutouts
Centerline 16” wheels for the street
Toyo Proxes 275/60/16 for the street
ET Street Radials for the track 255/50/16 at 18 psi on stock chevy rims
M&H skinny’s on 16” Colorado rims – front
Paint by Eddie @ Fleming Island Customs
Interior is original, untouched.
Ľ mile best: 11.17 ET @ 117.8 mph with full interior, NA
1.575 sixty foot on 255/50/16” ET Street radials
