Default New TBSS owner -- Lighting upgrades in progress

Hey guys,

Just picked up a 2007 3SS about a week and a half ago. It is completely stock and has been maintained at the dealership it's entire life. It's got 145k miles on it, but you'd never be able to tell by looking at it.

I'm currently working on doing some lighting upgrades since the factory headlights kinda suck. I just received my order from TheRetrofitSource and a few things from Amazon today.

I received:
-Morimoto Mini H1 7.0 Projectors
-Morimoto 3Five HID System
-Mini Gatling Gun shrouds
-Relay Harness for low beams (Morimoto) and Fogs (Amazon)
-880 HID Bulbs (Amazon-already had a set of ballasts)
-Butyl headlight sealant

I think that's about it. I have a set of new headlight housings coming in soon. I'm gonna go ahead and get the harnesses installed and ballasts mounted sometime over the next few days.

I have already done the 4hi headlight mod with a diode in the underhood fuse box. Can't get the Fogs working with them for some odd reason. Still troubleshooting that.

That's all I got for now.

On to the pics.

The day i bought it.

Engine bay

Not too fond of he running boards, but from what ive read they prevent rock chips on the rear doors.

Look at that ***

Only problem with it is the bags leak down overnight.

My pile of goodies from TRS and my bulbs and fog light relay harness from Amazon.

Got one of them baked apart last night. 6 minutes at 225 got the job done for me. These have a pretty soft gray sealant in them.

Had to put the job on hold since I don't have my dremel here at the moment. I need to do a little bit of grinding around the bulb opening to flatten it out so the projector sits against the reflector. Other than that, it should go relatively easily.

Will update on Sunday probably. Going out of town this weekend.
