it depends. 50k isnt anything these days. as long as taken care of. my friend has a nitro rt and it has had 3 rear ends before it hit 20k miles from the way he drives it. so miles dont really mean anything. my SS in sig had 100k on it and all i did was a hub bearing and a water pump. everything else was by choice.

I would say your good! Engine is nothing to worry about. Trans should be ok but it depends who was driving it. Rear Diff should be fine.

If it was used as a family mover/grocery getter,....pick it up, change all fluids, drive the shiz out of it.

Like they said, miles don't really mean anything. It's all how the truck was driven and that's a chance you take buying any used vehicle.. I haven't heard of one rear end failure in these trucks but the transmission is a different story.. I know guys that drive the **** out of they're TBSS and haven't had a trans problem but I bought mine with 53,000 on it and replaced the trans this February with 72,000 on it. And I am not easy on mine by any means.. I would definatley reccomend a trans cooler even if it is all stock.

I don't see many people having rear end issues with them unless it's a wrong fluid type of issue.

That's good to know, most TBSS I have been looking at have 20-45k on them. But are well over $28-32k for them, the one's that have 50k or more are starting at $14-21k.Well hopefully I can work out some deals, and trade in the G6 for the TBSS.

On a side note I've seen a black 08 TBSS with over 100k miles on it,not the one I want but daamn my 08 Imp has 34k on her.

2006 TBSS bought it new. Has 128,000 on it now. This is what I have replaced so far:
Tires 45,000
Throttle Body 72,000
Front Brake Pads 75,000
Alternator & Battery 85,000
Tires 89,000
Water Pump 110,000
A/C Compressor 115,000
Timing Chain , tensioner , cam sensor 120,000 (Did by choice for insurance)
Rear Brake Pads 127,000
Serviced tranny 2 times changing filter each time.

I change oil using Mobil 1 when the DIC says 5% or less (usually 12-14,000 miles). Have run 87 octane since new unless going to track, then 93 octane. Just recently my son put an 87 octane tune in it using HP Tuners. He did no tranny tuning but it did get rid of the damn slide shift at part throttle from 1-2 & sometimes 2-3 that has aggravated me since it was new. Overall has been a really good vehicle and is the only LS motored performance vehicle out of five I have owned that uses no oil between changes.

thats good to know. I know the transmissions are the weak link especially if you start making good horsepower.

Yea , just bought my son an 06 with 62,000 on it. Bolt on with a FLT Level 6 and Circle D converter. Previous owner grenaded the stock tranny pretty soon after bolt ons. Loving the FLT tranny and Circle D converter. I have probably only had the other one down the track bout 15-20 times mostly 1/8 and a few street passes. Otherwise it has been babied from day one.

I have 112k on mine. No major issues at all. Just wheel bearings.
