Default 16 inch wheels on Trailblazer SS

I would like to say thanks for the info about the 16 inch wheels from another forum member. Here is the link to the wheels that I got. Click Here!!! You will need to scroll to the left for the AT Itaila Presa in a 16x8 for $99 on clearance. I ordered 2 16 inch wheels from Tire Rack and they fit no problems. I have mounted used 27x10.5x16 ET Streets on them. The truck looks a little weird but I have a feeling that it will get the job done. Hope to get the truck into the 12s with the few mods that I have on there. I know that the DA here when I went 13.07 @ 103 was 4000 and the inlet air temp was close to 110. Pics to post soon.

Nice wheels. Ive ran a 10.5 on a 8 inch wheel and does have buldge.

the 275 40 17 drag rads I bought have got a trailblazer ss 1.501 60 foot time and hook hard even at the street races with a 150 shot off the line.

i got these 17x8.5s from discounttiredirect.com for 206 shipped to my door.

i wanted a small height tire. with a 275 40 17 you are in the sweet spot going threw the lights and 3rd tops out at 122 mph which was good for a 11.4 on the trailblazer ss. also a stock 2wd ss borrowed the wheel and tire combo and just hp tuner was used for the difference in tire height ran a 14.1 stock and a 13.6 with teh drag radials. the 275 40 17 make the thing just go threw the gears fast.

i run at the street races and also on the street a lot and ive used et streets and ride just sucked. They hooked great though but didnt like the bounce at all. If you end up getting a 255 50 16 im sure you would be happy with that in a drag radial tire

ps-remember to tune for the difference in tire height or the truck will shift to early and truck will act funny driving around

I understand about the tire size and shifting thing. The funny thing is that after I installed the 3600 TC, I do not get MPH down the track. I only plan on using the tires and wheels at the track. As for the street driving I do not do a whole lot.

Looks good mang... is the offset of a truck application rim different? Would Scott's drag pac fit on your ride?

Yeah some reason the TBSS is different than the C1500 by a 1/4 of an inch from center lug hole to center lug hole. I did steal his small set of tires and he is running the larger ones.
