Yea, that's why I want the 114, between the 6 liter cubes and wanting the power to pull through the rpm a little more.

oh I figured you would want all power down low in a 5600 lb workhorse. carry on. it'll be better than stock either way.

I want to stretch it out further. All the power down low would just be best with a stock cam.

I've only had 2 cams in my 6.0 aside from stock so not a huge sampling, however, my current 212/212 112 doesn't really feel any stronger down low than the 222/226 113 I had previously. And the larger cam had noticeable more pull up top I believe. The larger cam had more aggressive lobes though and I ended up busting a PAC beehive spring.

So if you really want to get more on the top end, you may want to step up to a low 220s cam. Zippy previously described the 212/218 in a 6.0 as like stock but more. A pretty similar powerband.

If I was not doing so much, more cam options would be considered. But new head gaskets, the cost of a used 6 liter, headers, tune, valve springs, ect. All of these things are eating up too much funds so used is the option.

What went wrong with the old lq4? If youre buying a doner, let me know when the blown short block is ready to go. I might be interested.

Picked up my 6 liter short block today. Was freshened up. Hopefully it's is a solid engine.
