I figured the heat and humidity would be the worst part about anything not coated down here with the exception of stainless. My stainless works headers I got for the 89 Camaro 5 or 6 years ago have held up fantastic.

Need to finish porting the other head and drop them off for valve job. Get some cover gaskets and head gaskets, put the engine together and swap it into the truck.

All this after I do the 8.8 rear diff swap with 4.30s into the SS...

Damn 8.8 swap is kicking my ***. Nothing is ever bolt in ya know? Damn brakes are squeaking for some reason after I put everything back together.

The brakes are the issue and they are the stock GM brakes. Turns out moser cut the axles just a touch too long. Some shimming and grinding and it's all god. Has some vibration and found the rear U joint has play. So, fix that issue and it will be on to the tow pig project.
