It's also a small engine and runs very small turbo's and was built around the fact that they wanted it turbo charged.

I'm very interested in this topic, having a 6.2L Max Trailering Sierra. I also need to keep the emissions on my truck (Colorado/Adams County) and seems the blowers are the way to go and still keep them street legal.

For me it's coming down to Trick Turbo system or Edelbrock TVS2300 system. For simplicity sake I'm leaning more towards the Edelbrock system (but really want to play with a turbo setup )

Data point: Running TVS1900 on 4.8LS
Just back from a 3 week, 9975 mile circuit through Yukon,BC, Alberta, Montana,WY,CO,NM,TX,NM,AZ,NV,CA,OR,WA, and return to Alaska...
Pushed highest speeds we could get away with, at all times.
IAT peaked at 111 F, running through West texas, across Death Valley, and high speed rally up to Grand Canyon, and SanteFe. IAT never went more than 20 degrees over ambient.
We burned over $3000 of the best premium octane, had no malfunctions, no mechanicals, and ZERO oil consumption.
