What is the largest radial tire you can fit on a stock height 2003 GMC 2500 HD Duramax...

thanks...

more specifically, can I fit a 305/70/16 on it?

I think it will depend on a few things. First being what size wheel, how much offset, blah, blah, blah...I just bought a 2002 Chevy 2500HD 2WD (with optional 2 inch body raise HVY) and will be running the biggest tire I can fit also, hope you don't care about fuel mileage because the more rolling resistance the more fuel you burn. Another thing is it looks like I might have to bust out the Sawzall and do some minor trimming on the front of the front wheel opening (bumper)
I have a new set of 285 75 R16 BFG all terrains and they look kindof wide for the 16 X 8 wheels they are mounted on.

Hope that helps, Tom

I just put 33's on my truck all I had to do was crank the **** outta my torsion bars, and trim the plastic valance below the bumper.

I think the actual tire size is 305/70-16

Hi; I have a 03 2500 HD and with the Torsion Bars cranked i have 285/75/16. I am about to put 295/75/16.

285/75/16 and 305/70/16 are both 33". The 305s are just wider. 295/75/16 are 33.5"

The 305's on my truck are a little too wide for the stock rims, but they look a hell of a lot better than the factory tires.

Looks good, but you don't have a rubbing issue when the steering wheel is turned all the way to the right or left.

Mine would rub the valance under the bumper but that was it, I massaged it with a sawsall, now its good to go.
