Sonnax Pinless 1-2 Question

Sonnax Pinless 1-2 Question
So I have the trans-go hd2 kit in my truck, next time I'm in the trans for a filter change I want to throw the sonnax pin less 1-2 accumulator piston in there.
The stock piston is plastic in mine… which seemed strange at the time of install because the directions in the trans-go kit said it would be metal.
anyways which springs do I use with the pinless piston? do I go back to the stock springs or leave the trans-go ones in there?

The Trans-go spring will not work with the Sonnax pinless accumulator piston.
You will need to use your stock spring set up.
If you have wear in the case from stock pin, then not a waste of money.
Plus piston is metal not plastic.
You could also buy a stock metal piston here
4L60E 4L65E 4L70E transmission pistons,bonded rubber pistons

I just had a complete stage 4 rebuild done on my 4L60E. All the best hard parts available including the hardened input/output shafts, wide kevlar band, best kolene clutches and steels, beast shell and Heavy duty center support, heavy sprags and GM 4 pinions front and rear. Billet pump assembly, etc.
I'm running the TransGo H2 kit along with Sonnax billet servos in both holes and a circle D 3200 278mm with 4.56's.
Once the trans settled in and parts mated, (and I'm currently running a Black Bear tune set for the old trans with 25% TM), it quickly became apparent the pinless 1-2 accumulator assy. gets on your nerves real fast during part throttle shifts. Returned to trans shop and had them reinstall the H2 recommended combo of parts. Shifts now are still mildly overly pronounced but much more tolerable. Just my humble opinion....

Velocity,
If the tune was done for a stock trans. most likely the line pressures got turned up in the tune and now that you have a performance built tranny the line pressure is turned up with hard parts, now you have real high line pressures.
Have Blackbear adjust the tune for the built trans. and it should tone down some.
