I'll try to get video taken - im going to use my camera as it has better sound. Ive been busy catching up on all the things i neglected while rebuilding the truck. Give me a couple days and i should have it uploaded.

That sound you're hearing is what people call the sewing machine sound. It's caused by too much or too little pre-load on the lifters.

What length pushrods did you end up with? Buy one of those pushrod length checkers, and find zero lash on one of your pushrods where the piston is at top dead center, and add .080" too that number and order the correct pushrods. I believe if you look too, you can find a less accurate method by figuring how many turns on the rocker bolt it takes from zero lash to bottomed out. I can't remember how much one turn is worth. I'll see if I can find it. I believe you want 1 to 1.25 turns on the rocker bolt, after you reach zero lash. That doesn't include the 25 ft/lbs torque setting, just getting the rocker from zero lash until it bottoms out. I hope that makes sense.

I got it to work. My work computer doesn't let me watch some videos.

Didnt replace pushrods or lifters - didnt know about preload, ofcourse there was no mention of this in the "pleasure craft" manual i downloaded....wish i could find a fsm, but helm stopped publishing them....
It seems tsp would've made mention of that since they tout their low lift cams as being compatible with stock valve train - except for springs.
Guess ill be getting a pushrod checker....
