I figured I needed another project so the car is on hold until I get this monster is at least running. Once I get a little more free time I'll do a complete disassemble and paint it.
I have cleaned the ways on the knee, saddle and table. I have one VFD for the spindle motor now I need another for the power feed and lubrication system.

The mill is a 1943-44 I love tooling and other junk made in that era..

I have a DRO system that should be here Tuesday and I box from Home-depot to get the VFD some juice...

The old one isn't nearly as rigged or accurate, plus no power feed. This one will take bigger cuts has a longer table and a swiveling head. I would really like a bridge port but I just can't afford that right now....

Here is what my old one looked like.

Very nice. You did some pretty cool stuff with the old one. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with the new one.
