Thread is a little old but here is my 2 cents. I would look for a TIG welder. Its a very precise weld leaves a beautiful bead (depending on user lol). You should be able to pick up a Lincoln Invertc V155 fairly cheap. Add a bottle of argon and a tig rig and you're ready to weld. If you have any questions hit me up. I have a Hobart 190. I've used some really expensive Miller Mig welders at an old shop and my Hobart runs just as good. As for TIG, the Everlast units seem to be fairly popular for their price points. No first hand experience with them though.
