stolen truck in Houston
#61
All I could suggest would, try and find another truck with similar options and mileage and crunch the numbers. If you can get the but back cheap and get the repairs done with cash in your pocket I'd go for it. But if it's gonna cost you extra I say Ditch it.

they are offering 7,200 for the truck...after a lot of searching, it seems fair(ish). I can buy the truck back for 1,650.
my thought process. take the truck back and the $4,500 settlement check. they say they will need to put a salvage title on it. clean the **** out of it and sell it as-is without the back seat for 5,500. that puts 10K in my pocket. part out the s10 for 14k(ish). sell the rzr for around 10k and go get me the 68 Camaro that I've always wanted. at that point I would be down to 3 cars and a lot less headaches/hobbies to keep up with.
or at the least, take the truck, sell it after cleaning and put 10k to the next tow pig. the 2,500HD was always overkill for what I pull...and it really didn't pull worth a crap anyways.

prolly EFI on a cruiser. I do already have a nice engine/trans to throw in one though. I found this...tempting. looks like a good start and it's already swapped. and all be damn, it's in san Antonio where I will be on Friday looking at the truck.
