Anyone willing to help with Diff?
OK, so I started having a howling sound in my diff. I think it is the pinion bearings, so I felt it was a good time to go ahead and just rebuild the diff. Called around and most place want $400 just for labor.
I have been reading and reading and feel like it isn't easy, but something I think I could handle. The question is, would someone in the DFW area be willing to help me? I would rather not buy the tools like the pinion depth gauge and magnetic based dial gauge.
I really would like to learn how to do it also. Wouldn't mind throwing in a little bit of money to help cover someone's time and tool "rental".
Thanks!

On The Tree
The guy who showed me how to set one up lives in dfw. Charged me $250. I already had the parts and didn't mind showing me what all it takes to do it. If you want his contact info let me know.
