Ive been hanging in there, it was fixed before I had it transported down here... Then the pump went out, and after replacement I have another random issue.

At least my mechanic up north got to drive it and have fun for a few days... Hopefully thats me next time

I shot them an email a couple weeks ago. Still waiting to hear back... Its not the tune so much I am worried about at this point, I just want the truck back on the road in stock form. After all of the kinks are worked out, I can get back to installing the go fast parts without compounding problems.

How was your experience with Aikman?

My experience was good. They had my Typhoon 3 weeks, but he wanted everything perfect, as do I. The tune was a mess when I gave it to him. Would die coming to a stop on cold starts. That added time. He ended up wiping clean what was there and starting over again.

I'll be taking it back to him again for a true dyno tune eventually, as he only did a street tune. Shop was clean and the dude knows his stuff.

Aikman does a good job his shop is 10 min from my house. He usually is very busy up there tho and can be backlogged a few weeks. I'm more then willing to help ya out if you want to tackle the project. I have a garage and and all the tools we'd need. Feel free to shop me a message if you'd like.

Will do milkey, I am debating a few options right now. One is just ordering a new engine and swapping it ALL out. I would be happy to have some local help and just knock it out in a weekend. Problem is the truck isnt mobile to do that yet.

Careful what help you offer up, I might just take it. Haha

I'm curious what you decide to do, I'm also wanting to swap an 80e and live close to Aikmann. I might just buy one outright from one of the big companies like flt, rpm, Jake's, etc..

I am getting my 4L80e built by Triple Edge Performance up in IN. He is a good friend of mine and has built several trans/engines for my various projects over the years. I still have a 4L60e in my Grand National that is putting down 600whp.

I will get ahold of you milkey, as I think I am just going to order another engine to drop in at the same time as trans. Just do the Cam/heads/studs and everything on the stand, then drop it all in with the trans already attached. Think that would make it a bit easier.
