Default XM antenna location ideas

I bought the Sirius XM vehicle tuner kit (SXV300) to go with my Clarion head unit.

So, I'm looking for ideas on where to put the antenna so it's not easily seen but still has reception.

I've been eyeballing a place on the cowl, between the wiper arms.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

On my 05 i tapped into tge factory xm antenna... My 02 avalanche i wanna say i had it under the dash panel attached to the metal frame and never had a reception issue. Had a couple friends i helped and just mounted the magnetic antenna on the roof and never really noticed it was there theyre small enough, you can mount it about anywhere thats metal and grounded to body and youll be fine.... Thinking ifbi ever decide to get xm in my 99 putting it under the wiper cowl.... Havent planned where im going to pull wire through yet though..

You mean just inside the cowl (by the wiper motor)? I could stick it down there with some hot glue or gorilla glue.

All the antennas ive seen are magnetic, and quite strong at that.... But yes under the cowl beneath the wiper transmission of over on passenger side by the fresh air vent

We mounted a friend's on the very front edge of the bed next to the cab. Worked great and was rarely noticed. Truck was lowered.

Mounting it to the back of the cab or front of bed would work too, the magnet basically turns the metal its attached to into a giant antenna..
