Default Fixed Tow/Haul for my tune . . . pics inside!!!

Well I got my truck tuned last Saturday mainly for gas mileage, but I still wanted tow/haul mode to be tuned for a little juice. Well I knew the wire was cut in half for whatever reason. I didn't want to try and soder those tiny wires together. I went down to the dealership and got a new arm with the button and the new boot. One selling point for the new arm was the trailer icon instead of the words "tow/haul", a lot of people around here don't get the significance but I figured everyone on here would appreciate the newer version. Here are some pics of taking the dash apart and swapping out the arm. Now it's tuned and the tow/haul mode is more agressive. Thanks for looking.

Here you can see the wire seperated

Here is where the plug is for the tow/haul is located, it's right in the middle of that wire cluster but it's easy to find and easy to get to

The old style

. . . and the new version

The new boot next to the old one, I think it needed to be changed even though i cost almost half as much as the whole arm assembly at the dealership.

All done and put back together

After it was tuned and ready to go

Glad you got it fixed although the only additional tuning you will get out if it are a different set of shift points unless there are some hidden tables that I haven't found.

Well that's what I was going to do, but there wasn't a schematic that showed which wire went to which and they were so small I didn't know if I had the paitience and then he showed me the new version of the arm and I was sold. . .only $100 so do whatever I guess.

It's a single wire unit but there are two wires running up to the button. Good luck sodering them because they are tiny. thats why I went ahead and did it this way.
