I have been looking at those subs for a while. You must have heard them before if you're willing to shell out that kind of money. How do they sound? How much power do you plan to run to it/them? I'm pretty bored with my setup and would like an upgrade. Nice selection of components. I bet you can't wait to get it hooked up!

What's up Shaggy2dope?
The truck sounds decent right now but not what I'm used to. I have systems and have invested a small fortune in all of my rides. This truck will be the 4th vehicle that I have or have owned that has had Focal Mids and Tweets.
I'm running a PDX 1000.1 to the woofers and two Alpine PDX 100.4s to the mids and tweets. The low end will be inline with what I'm used to (I have a box that is cut through the bed and the cab in my 2002), A ported box in my SS, etc...
My installer and I are going to remove the rear seat, cut the carpet and build a box out of fiberglass, and seal it. It will be the same basic set up as a box except that the box is going to be molded to the floor of the truck if that makes sense. The set will go back on over the box of course. I will retain full use of the crew cab which was part of the reason to go this route will not sacrificing the sound quality.
Yes, you're right. I can't wait to get this system up and running. The mod should be in full swing a week from today. Flying the installer in from Cali next Thursday night.
It's going to be fun.
Other edit. The Mb Quarts and one single sub are going on the Escalade. The Escalade is going to have a more basic but good sounding system. Powering the drivers in the Escalade with 2 Xtant Amplifiers.

Op I love the plan for the box looks like you are gonna drop some serious coin and make this a very very clean setup. I am looking forward to more pics and details.
Not a fan of JL audio. Too much money for what you get. Look into sundown or digital designs or soundqubed for better value and much more boom for your dollar.

Yes, I'll be sure to take and post some pics of transformation. I've seen and heard what the finished product will be. It's time to implement a few tweaks and get started on the Silverado.
I'm ready. I'll update the thread accordingly. I have interior parts at the shop already as we speak, er type.

Sorry, been a bit remiss at updating the thread / build process.
So Installer arrived on Friday morning. Jumped right in after flying all night from SoCal.
Out with the old...
started modifying under the seat and getting ready to build box for the 2 JL Audio woofers.
Box completed and wrapped. The box fits nicely under the seat with a small gap allowing the woofers full travel with no interference.
Focal mids and tweets in as of yesterday, amps wired and powered this morning.
Head unit installed tonight. Turns out the Alpine bezel that I had would not work so... Installer did what he does best.
Truck should be finished and tweaked complete by tomorrow. The escalade is next (something much more subdued and basic).
