Default What year did they add USB to GM trucks?

I'm in the market for a new-to-me GM full size and have a question. What year did the USB option on the stereo become available? Also, was this standard with all the stereos after it was added or do I need to look for a specific package or RPO code?

I currently use a USB thumb drive loaded with music, for my listening pleasure. I like this so much that if/when I find my next ride, if it doesn't have a USB port I'll be switching out the head unit to one that does. So it would be easier & cheaper for me to find one that has the USB port stock.

Thanks!

My '08 GMC does not have it. I swapped it for a OGM1.

I have a coworker with a 2010 that has the USB connection, so that must be the first year.

my 10 has it. it's just a cable from the front of the radio to the back of it. nothing special. you can head out to micro center and get the cable.
