Default need help wiring...

Okay first off I have Googled, and searched for last 5 hours to no avail... I'm installing electric fans. And of course, I'm trying to be cheap and do it myself (not order Nelsons harness) so I went out bought 4 relays, wire, connectors, etc. U have a 2001 silverado. I was following a write up online I found but after splicing into the ac clutch fan wire. And pinning pin 42. (On blue side) he then says to ground out the other two terminals of the 1 relay. And then goes on to say hook up the rest of the harness and your done. Well I don't have a harness so idk how to hook it up. I'm lost, have no idea what to do. I read up on relays, and tried to figure it out all day today. Nothing worked. So I need help. Anyone that can walk me through it? Like extremely detailed? I really don't wanna spend 55$ on this crap and then break down and drop the 109 on the Nelsons harness... thanks for any and all help.

I've attached a picture of the fans, thanks again for any and all help.

several diagrams online on how to wire them up. here is one. is this how you have your relays setup?

might want to move this to the GM specific wiring forum

You can do it with 4 relays, or you can do it with 3 relays and install the AC pressure sensor into your AC lines and segment swap your PCM to use the fan controls from an 02.

For the first way (which sounds like what you want to do), see this thread https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-truck-542739/
