The r/c are 6 speeds but I've used mine to haul my 68 gmc short bed with no problems. As far as an Srt being a dog or disappinting, I think maybe those guys drove a hemi!!!
And now is the time to buy one, price wise. Check out vtcoa.com for any thing you want to know about these trucks, also there's a sweet deal on an 05 r/c on there.

Good luck!!!

You're asking about an SRT 10 on a chevy ruled forum (Think about it)
Then ask about it on an SRT 10 forum (Think about it)
Not very biased opinions
If you want 1 then get 1! They're attention getters, gas hogs, all aftermarket items are pricey, they take a curb like you wouldn't believe, I can sit here and type my opinion but ultimately the decision is yours

I average 15 mpg, in town with me driving I get about 8 mpg, but I'm staying in second and third gear running 35-45mph. On the highway running 55-60, I get around 20-21 mpg. On the interstate running 75-80 I get 17-18mpg. As long as you are good in these trucks they get OK milage, but when you play you pay!!! And no one should buy on of these if the are concerned with fuel milage, and every time you change the oil it's gonna cost you $100 min. If you do it your self!!!

But they sure are fun!!!

I get about 24 highway (between 75-100) and 14 with mixed driving (I drive like an *** hole) on my 6.0/4L80e. And changing oil is about 40 bux....

OP, be smart and stick with a Chevy

Another thing is the SRT10 looks good but you said you have a Rhino which means you are towing it to go off roading or likely taking it to a trail head. Now you have a Z71 and getting where you need to go isn't a problem. Now get a lowered, crew cab, with Z rated 22 inch tires, that is heavy 2wd, and with a 18 foot trailer.....see my point??

There are alot more trucks that get worse gas mileage than these, the only thing to remeber is STAY off the pedal. Driving down the 1/4 mile you can actually see the gas needle moving towards the "E". LOL

Lol. Well, with my cruise set at 70, not loaded, I might get 17 if there are no hills and no wind. So fuel mileage is not really to big of a deal. Ya gotta pay to play like someone said. But thanks for the info guys. I'm gonna set on it a while in lieu of some points ya'll brought up.
