Thumbs up Props to Yank

I sent my converter in for a cut and clean. I was quote a price over the phone. a week and a half went by and I didn't hear from him. I called to check up on it. Dave answered the phone and told me he is backed up and apologized profusely and said that he hadnt been able to get to it, but that it was on his list for the following monday. I checked up at the end of the following week. He said the clutch was showing a good amount of wear and he took the liberty of replacing it. Normally I dont like this if its going to cost more but the total cost including the clutch replacement was less than the price for the cut and clean I was quoted over the phone. I called a total of 3 times over the course of a couple weeks. He answered every time and was up front about everything. I own a small business myself and only have one employee and I understand how stressful it is to get backed up and have to get stuff done for people that are waiting. I just wanted to say that he couldn't have been more professional and I would definitley recommend them.

sorry but good luck with their lock up on bigher hp/tq guys , they use a stock sized lock up and cost me alot of money . in turn blew my trans (failed lock up , not at wot but kess than 60 tps and it locked under a few psi and trans over heated , balloned converter enough to make it swell and push my crank forward enough to eat the main thrust bearing) i swapped to a converter with a much better/larger lock up , i have locked at wot many times and is running stronger than ever. imo.

although im sure they can work on mild hp motors , i would never lock it up and expect good. after i tried telling yank what happened and sending a file of my tune for them to inspect i still had to pay for them to rebuild my yank to salvage what i had invested. in short they told me i was doing wot lock ups and it caused it to fail , i didnt and i know it . swap to a convterter they dare you to break under any circumstance, that is what i needed.

my 2 dollars.

Actually, Yank uses a much larger than stock clutch. Besides, even though some guys say it's okay to lockup a single disc at WOT, it really shouldn't be done. At some point with a very high power-to-weight ratio, a multi-disc is the better choice.

The fastest street truck on the site uses a Yank and a know of a lot of happy Yank customers, so I see no problem going for one. If you're running any decent numbers and don't have a multi-disc, expect things to fall apart. Just my 2.02.
