Default looking at silverado SS

looking for a silverado ss for a new daily driver. looking at the AWD ones also. Not going to mod at all maybe just a catback that's it.

How are these trucks for daily drivers? is there anything I should specifically look at when I look for one problem wise? I'm pretty new to these trucks.

thanks

I just bought an '04 SSS a couple of months ago. They're great trucks, dependable, fast and I like the AWD especially. The only issue I know of (as with most Chevy trucks) is the steering shaft which isn't a big deal and easy/inexpensive fix. Some have a clunking noise when making a sharp turn. Other than that, it's a great choice IMO.

Bring gas money, but other than that I loved mine as a DD, lots of power and no matter what the weather it'll stick to the ground. The 6.0/4.10s made for a pretty fun ride but I usually got between 11 and 12 mpg in town.

I have an 02 sierra denali. It's the gmc version of an ss. The only difference is looks and I have quadrasteer. The trucks are amazing. Hooks really good, but depending on the pavement I can get one of my front tires to spin for a while and it sounds kinda cool. Just bring lots of gas money because I'm getting 12mpg right now and I'm trying for good lol. 10 if Im not.

Biggest problem you'll run into is keeping yourself true on not modding the truck. Ask me how I know...lol

Not too far north of me, only ss specific related problems i can think of atm are the front diff bearings. The long list of the rest of the typical problems are universal in all of the nbs platform.. And mpg's are all about whats done to it and more importantly your right foot..
