Default Why Quick is always right and the world is always wrong...

So when it comes to these trucks and LS1s, what's the worse info you've heard??

-Today a guy told me if he bolted 6l heads on his 5.3 he would gain 150hp

a guy with a 5.3 ssr told me the chip and exhaust he installed gave him 500hp. i was nice and just walked away.

yesterday at lunch a guy asked if i had a 396 in my truck so i told im no its a 5.3 325 cubes. he looked at me said that motor doesnt exist and walked away

Just the other night, my brother's gf's brother said that you have to grind the block when you install ARP rod bolts. I said, "since when?" Then in an arrogant manner he said, " uh, since forever." I just walked away.

Another kid said that 5.3's are indestructible because the push rods are "captured" inside the block.

A buddy of mine with a 04 Silverado said his Superchips programmer was too much for his truck and wanted to get something tamer, a Jet chip.

Another buddy of mine said the throttle body spacer on his hemi ram gave him 3 more mpg.
