Default She's Armed & Ready ;)

we'll be spraying a small shot come the weekend

cant go to big off launch for the simple fact i need some new slicks which i'll order up monday of next week.. had a few things to pay for this week so i have to waite!!

anyway thinking of trying a 50, then a 75 then a 100 ( collecting data on each run ) dont wanna hit it to hard at once cause i am not finanically ready for a cage or roll bar, even though i am flirting with roll bar territory now .BUT the following week if all goes well she'll be seeing a 150-200 shot at HRP dont wanna get run off my home track right now

figure the last time i was out i was hitting a 11.6-7 NA figure if i have simular weather i'd be looking at a 11.3-4 on a 50 hit?

75 shot i am wanting to see at lease a 11.20

so what the masses think? about the whole setup even running with 4:88 gears? i expect to cross traps with a 150 shot around 7500 rpms

bottom line if the gears dont cut it i'll drop back down and tighten up the converter.right now i am thinking i'll loose 30% rwhp do to the 4500 converter but i dont know yet its basically trial and error.

I crossed around 6500 with a 100shot

I expect you blow through your converter since you spec'd for motor i presume? I still don't think you'll have any trouble hitting the 11.20 mark. I think the 4.88 gears with a tighter converter would sweet with your truck, but you would lose all that motor time that you've worked so hard for. Hard to have the best of both worlds as I'm sure you're well aware of

trial and error, this is basically a thing of getting tired of running 11.6-8s in the heat, i just want enough to push it deeper into the 11's, if i go the full 200 i would only run the 1/8 mile thus hoping to buy time until i can get the cage done.. On the other hand i have a 408 sitting in the wing but i promised myself i wouldnt have it built nor will i install it until the first of next year ( yeah stupid me for that kind of promise lol ) reason behind it is i am not done with a 6.0 stock short block.. theres a couple or so more 10ths i think i can pull out of her .
