Default OBS 97 Z71 05 5.3 and Radix Swap

I am active duty army, and have been in Iraq for a year. While I was there I have been thinking of using some of my hard earned money to get another truck. Mine has 213,000 miles on it, but I love it to death. It has been so good to me over the years that I decided to put the money into it rather than to get another truck. So I did my research and figured out what I wanted to do for the build. This is what I have come up with.

2005 5.3 with 60,000 miles complete and with harness and computer.

Also have a ZO6 Cam, Hardened pushrods from comp, Patriot gold spring kit, TSP ported oil pump, Heavy duty GM roller timing set, MP122HH Radix (moregrip's complete old blower setup), and a FLT Level 4 4L60E with a Yank SC2800 Converter.

Got the engine on the stand, and began tear down yesterday

Then came a moment of stupidity on my part. I have no idea why i did this, but as I was reinstalling the oil pan, I tightened the front corner bolt on the driver's side too much, and the spot where the timing cover meets the pan pushed the pan to crack it as i tightened the bolt. Carnage insued and this is the result...

would like to point out that when i had this oil pan mishap i posted an ad to find one here in the classified section, and had someone help me out in less than 5 minutes! The network and people here are incredible. "chevytruck" came through for me right away so I should have the pan by the end of the week.

FWIW I did research for about 6 months prior to this build, and it is paying off tremendously.
