SOLD
This was on the engine when I bought it, however my truck is cable driven.
My plan was to sell this so I could get a ported cable driven one, but now I'm needing money for my insurance deductible, so it's up for sale.
I'm selling it for the same price Shaner sells them for which is $150.00. If you're in the DFW area, we can meet up. If not or you would rather have it shipped, shipping will be $12.00 to the lower 48.
Thanks for looking. First one paying gets it - no dibs, no holding....You can PayPal the funds to:

I don't see why there would be a difference between the two. Its just increasing airflow/reducing restriction.

Most of what Shaner ports are the drive-by-wires. You can search around on LS1truck.com, but I put one on my '03 Silverado Z71 and it definitely helped.
Put it this way, when I did the cold air intake, it screwed up my idle for about twqo days until the PCM adjusted for the additional airflow. When I put the ported DBW TB on it did the same thing. So it definitely does help.
But to answer your question, no, it won't hurt anything. It will definitely improve and smooth out your intake airflow.
The only reason I'm selling is I got in an accident today and need some cash for the deductible.
Here's a link from Shaners website which shows a DBW TB that he uses as an example.
