Default Magic between runs??

First off I have an 07 TBSS. Just asking this question b/c I have never seen one of these trucks in action until today. Went to the track to race my bike and hauled it w/ the TBSS. When I drove up this guy in a Quad cab was staring at us. Any ways long story short.....He ran 2 times and ran 13.8X and 13.75. He also did not have tags on it so I was assuming it was stock. Well after those two runs he truck mysteriously when 12.8X? His fastest time was 12.5 something. I didnt know what these ran stock so I assumed the high 13 was close. OBVIOUSLY he was spraying it after that but I wondered what size shot he had to shoot to drop well over 1 second. Any how I was just curious.

I was just wondering. I read that the TBSS would run w/ the stock 4 door. But when I went to get the slip to race the TBSS and my bike his times dropped over a second. I am sure he bought it used......since it didnt have tags. He aslo threw a damn fit b/c the guy in the pits would not let him run N/T. It was just test n tune so I dont know why he didnt want his times shown.

Nothing special. 06 636..........power commander, 6" stretch and 1 tooth down on the front sprocket. Ran 10.4's at the end of last year.......was running 10.6's sunday. My 60 foot times are ok though. I was around 1.61-1.63. There were only two other bikes there......12r and busa......There 60 foots were around that too.
The guy w/ the dodge had his hood up between runs and it wasnt supercharged/turbo. He was one of the "non-sociable" guys at the track. You know the kind that doesnt talk to anyone but the two guys he brought w/ him. No point in asking what he had done b/c I am sure I would have gotten the "its faster than yours" crap.

It could have been the new SCT that is out. It is basically the stage 2 flash but in the handheld programmer. With the flash, intake and exhaust I ran 12.7 @ 108 on stock tires. So he could have run stock then tried the programmer out. I don't know for sure. what was his trap speed? Guys that are running shots are in the 11's. Not all of course, just depends on the shot.

I think the quad cabs rub better times because they hook up better. I have mixed feelings about the SRT10 rams. On one hand the Viper motor is killer, but they waited until the bigger and even heavier body redesign to put it in(the 94-01's were already pigs). Then they make it impossible to run a set of slicks on the back and to top it off they put a damn stick shift behind that torque monster in the lighter reg cabs. Great combination if all you want to do is blow the tires away, but lousy for drag racing a truck. I'd like to see what the reg cabs would run stock if they had automatics and could run slicks. way down in the 12's maybe even high 11's would be my guess.

Soon to be 400+hp/500+ft lbs tq of heavy ass iron V10 and maybe a little spray. That and a set of cal-tracs with stickies might get this big barge into the 11's.

There are stock RC's in the 12's now. But you are right about the weight. The other issue is there is not a lot of mods out there. The R&D for the viper engine is high. Mainly cause it is such a small market compared to other engines.

I have seen high 12's stock, but I think that is still a good second behind what they should run. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing the truck at all. I am just a drag racer and thats what matters to me most. the SRT10's do a lot more besides go straight really fast. Once I am done with my magnum v10 swap into my ram, I am going to swap a 8.3/automatic trans combo into a Dakota.
