yukon 4.11's and detroit trutrac are coming sooner than i wanted. my pinion is grinding down my carrier! heres some pics. i dont know exactly what im looking at so maybe some of yall have comments about the wear and all that jazz. g80 still holding strong if i park on an downhill slope i come back to about a half quart of fluid anyways im going out for a drive

dude i dont see how your truck even moves. You must have some serious problems, iv never seen teeth indentions in the carrier like that.

yeh i just cant see how that is possible. the ring gear is bolted to the carrier so unless it was cracked all the way around i dont see how the grooves got there. But then the axles go through the middle of the carrier so i dont think it would move that much. I would park it now.

Has the Pinion Nut came loose any? Only way i see that kindof screw up is if the pinion moved toward the Carrier because there is no way the Carrier moved! If it did i would prob be tearing it down right now.
