this truck has been in hotrod twice and will be in a 3rd time coming up soon. a 4page feature 2 years ago. then last year for wining it's class small block power adder where it averaged a 10.24 for it's 5 day average and drove 2300miles in one week. now in a couple of months for wining it's class, 11.00 daily driver where it averaged 11.0004 running with pump gas on stock tires and full weight the entire 2000+miles.

edit. make that 4 times, it was one of the top 10 hotrods of the year for 2004.

the truck will run all day long without a fuss in the 10.5-10.8 range on pump gas. with race fuel it seems to be happy in the 10.2-10.4 range. it dynoed at 1055rwhp 1025rwtq. the turbos should have another 500hp in them but the engine is near the limit of what you can get reliably from a stock block iron gen3 engine.

i am hoping to get $38,000 for the truck. it would take at least $50k to build this truck and that is doing all the work yourself. the body isn't perfect, there are a couple of dings and scratches but it looks prety nice when all cleaned up. i will be posting up my favorite pic's and vids soon.

i would be willing to deal a little if there are parts the buyer didn't want. for example if you have a built motor of your own and didn't need the 408 we might be able to work out a deal or if you wanted some smaller turbos i could do something like swap a pair of new 61's on there in place of the used 70's for no change in price.

i have many of the stock parts laying around. intake, tb, back glass, rims and tires like new. many other parts.

good question. for me the truck is all about the project. planing and doing the work. this project has gone better than i could have ever hoped but i have some other ideas going on in my head that i would like to try out. what i would really like to do is manufacture some turbo kits out of my garage and see if the market is there. having a nice chunk of change to get things started will really help out. it is a dream of mine to not have to "work for the man" till i am 60years old. i have been thinking about this every since i put the twins together. selling a nice single kit for the trucks/suv and a single kit for the colorados too would probably be enough work to keep my from having to do a day job.

on the flip side i can find out if anyone is willing to put up the cash for my truck and if not then i wont feel bad tearing into it and shooing for 8's but it wont be as much of a street truck if i go that route.
