Default chevy silverado ss

Any body that can give me some input on the silerado ss I am looking at a 2003 brand new one still on the dealer lot asking $31,000 which is a great price. Im also looking at the 2004 ford 150 lariate. I like the interior in the ford and the performance and style of the ss. any coments send them my way thanks, bill

That sounds pretty good for the SS price even if it's an 03. I've always been a chevy fan, so that would be my choice. If you don't mind me asking, how much are you willing to spend on the Lariat? The same as for the SS? If not, you could always supercharge the SS and have one badass ride. I know the SS trucks are heavy, but those new Fords are extremely heavy and probably slow!! I'd take the SS any day especially if you want performance. I'm assuming the 03 is still new as far as no owners???

The ss has been on the lot since july of 03 and is brand new might be 20 miles on it. they are trying to get rid of it I took it for a ride seemed to ride well but just seemed to be on the large side. Took the lariate for a ride interior is awesome and rode well also. looking to pay $32500 for the lariate completely loaded. How much would it cost to supercharge the ss and how quick would it be? anybody know how well the ss handles.

That SS has really grown on me. I think that is a sweet deal. Slap a Radix on there and you will grin from ear to ear every time you drive it. If the interior is that much of a sore spot, they have aftermarket peices that will make it look every bit as nice as the ford and it will actually move when you give it gas. Besides, isnt GM offering 0% for 60 months???? Easy decision in my eyes.

The SS handles great. I LOVE spanking the thing through turns. I'm extremely surprised at how hard I can push it, and I still have yet to get a squeal or slide out of the truck. All of my old trucks would be squealing or wallowing at the stuff I put the SS through.

Sway bars will definitely help, but it's not like they're imediately needed. I'll get around to putting them on one of these days.

The new F150 interiors look awesome, by far the best looking truck interiors. Especially the black leather with the metal looking trim. BUT, I test drove several of them and the front seats in those new F150s are not comfortable at all when compared to a GM seat. It felt like the lower seat was short, and my legs were hanging off the front too much. Padding seemed kinda thin also. I'm only 5-11 and the seats felt too short.

The GM seats are the most comfortable by far. Dodge is a close second.

The F150 5.4L modular motor is weak. Slowest truck engine out there right now.

There are quite a few brand new '03 SS trucks on the lots here in Houston. I'm also considering one, since they sell them about $10K off of MSRP.
