I run MT dr's on my car and don't have any traction issues, but i know from experience that croud pleasing burnouts kllcan kill your sixty foot... And your wallet.
I usually start in first and push it hard to 6k, hit secod and hold at 5k till I start to see white smoke in my rear view, then I let go of the line lock and power out till the tires start to bite.
Followed by a dry hop when motioned to the starting line.
If I spin on the hop, then I have feather off the line.
If I get jerked back into my seat, I load it up and let'r buck.
I'll admin I don't know anything about your trucks setup or what the track prep is like, but I would thing those guidlines are pretty much universal.
You may want to look into adjustable shocks that let you control how quickly your truck respond to weight transfer
