Hey guys! I don't know much about fords. i thought you guys could help. I got a call this morning from my stepdad, he has a 2001 ccsb f150 5.4. he said he went out to start his truck and it started fine then he reved it up a little and it died. he did this a couple more times and same results. I'm away at college right now, but i'll be home tomorrow or the next day to check it out myself. i didn't know if this a ford thing or what... any help would be great! thanks guys

hard to diagnose without a code.
If he can get it to a parts store to get a code readers put on it that would be a great help.
could be dirty maf, bad sensor, bad cat, bad gas, clogged filter, or other possibilities.

Well it must of been bad gas. When it warmed up here i went out and it started rough, kidda like it had a bad miss or something. Then after reving it to keep it started it started to smooth out. Now it runs better than ever. Idk?, It didn't have any check engine lights, but i haven't goten to the parts store yet to for any codes. Thanks for you help guys.
