cheap shop lights penetrate water a lot better than LED. we tried LED and it doesnt penetrate as deep, and gives more of a glare. wish LED worked better because it sure does tuck up and make for a cleaner install.

day time for the big gar, night for the big everything else. we've shot a few gar over 100lbs.

I was looking at the seelite LED's. I mainly don't want to have to carry a generator and all that. Just an extra battery or two. A buddy of mine runs them with some yellow tint and they do well enough. Just wanting to avoid the noise and weight of a genny. I've got a few halogens laying around here. I may just rig up half and half and see what the difference is. I've got a welder building the rail right now. It'll be high enough to lean on and not fall over. Padded with beer holders and bow holders. I wanted an elevated platform on my front deck and put the lights under the edge but that's a good bit more $$ and those mud motors are sensitive to weight. It's gonna be bad enough just adding what I already am. I refuse to mod that engine at least for now. So I'll be limited to what the stock EFI motor can carry. I'd really like to find a 90hp outboard or so to drop on my hull for the summer.

i run a honda eu2000 generator...a little pricey, but the honda generators run super quiet! the lights don't hit the battery as hard as a trolling motor.

I had thought about trading up for a sixth gen, i personally really like the look of the front end of the 6th gen, but thats about where it stops. Interior feels geared toward really short people, and doesnt seem to have anywhere near the ***** my ls3/m6 does....

The 6th gens are NICE. Ive been cross shopping a 2ss and 1LZ Z06. The camaro has all the nice features (vented seats, blind spot monitoring, etc) but is going to be slow (relative to the turbo truck). I will NOT be modding.

The 6th gen SS is advertised to go 12.3 in the 1/4 mile. That's getting after it from the factory if you ask me. It also handles 10x better than the 5th gen. The notorious under steer is nonexistent in the gen6.
